Our client is an established company operating in the construction and building materials industry, specializing in concrete products and solutions for construction projects. The company is committed to maintaining consistent product quality and supporting customers through reliable production, testing and technical services.

As part of their growing team, the company is seeking an experienced QAQC Supervisor to oversee daily quality control and laboratory operations. The role will be responsible for supervising inspection, sampling and testing activities, monitoring concrete and raw material quality, and ensuring products comply with approved specifications, customer requirements and applicable quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a QAQC supervisory role, preferably in ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, construction materials or related industries.
• Good knowledge of concrete quality control, raw material inspection, fresh concrete testing, hardened concrete testing and applicable technical specifications.
• Experience in concrete mix design, trial mix, concrete testing and quality investigation will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of QAQC documentation, testing records, calibration requirements and quality management practices.
• Able to investigate quality issues, identify possible root causes and coordinate practical corrective actions.
• Good leadership, team coordination and people management skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and reporting skills.
• Able to coordinate effectively with Operations, Production, Sales, customers and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to support communication with relevant customers and business stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to prepare reports, records and quality documentation.

Job Description

• Plan and supervise daily QAQC and laboratory operations, including inspection, sampling, testing and quality verification.
• Monitor the quality of raw materials, fresh concrete and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, customer requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate concrete testing activities, including slump testing, concrete cube preparation, compressive strength testing and other relevant tests.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and customer complaints, and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate concrete mix designs, trial mixes, mix revisions and related technical documentation.
• Supervise and guide QAQC personnel, including work planning, task allocation, manpower coordination and performance monitoring.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and available for daily testing activities, with accurate records and documentation.
• Prepare and review QAQC reports, quality performance data and technical findings, and recommend improvement actions where required.
• Coordinate with Operations, Production, Sales, R&D and Maintenance on quality and technical matters to ensure consistent product quality.
• Support internal/external audits, customer visits, supplier assessments and regulatory inspections, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable standards.
