Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Investor Relations
Develop, refine, and maintain high-quality fundraising materials, including pitch decks, investor memos, and other supporting documents.
Manage and update the investor pipeline using a CRM system, ensuring timely outreach, follow-ups, and progress tracking.
Coordinate all logistical aspects of investor engagement, including meeting scheduling, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
Support the leadership team during investor presentations and due diligence processes.
Maintain the investor data room, ensuring all materials and documents are accurate and up-to-date.
Lead follow-up communications, prepare relevant documents, and support in pitching to potential investors.
Compile and regularly update key business metrics and reports for investor review.
2. Investment Strategy & Market Intelligence
Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitors, and industry developments to strengthen the fundraising narrative and guide internal decision-making.
Analyze deal flow trends and investor behavior to inform strategic planning.
Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s capitalization table and funding model.
Contribute to internal reporting, including capital runway analysis, fundraising scenarios, and financial forecasting.
Identify and profile suitable investors such as venture capital firms, corporate VCs, and family offices aligned with the company’s stage and sector.
3. Strategic Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and initiate contact with potential partners, including VCs, accelerators, government agencies, and corporate stakeholders.
Conduct thorough research and prepare tailored briefing documents for partnership and investor meetings.
Support the CEO in building and nurturing relationships with key strategic partners and stakeholders.
Help execute and monitor the success of partnership initiatives, pilot programs, and co-investment opportunities.
Structure and support the development of strategic collaborations, including proof-of-concepts (POCs) and grant applications.
Prepare talking points and background documents for the CEO’s external engagements.
Track and assess the ROI and outcomes of all partnership efforts.
4. CEO Support
Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising, investor relations, and partnership activities with overall company strategy.
Assist in driving special projects, strategic initiatives, and high-priority external engagements as directed by the CEO.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, CFA (Level 1 or above), or other relevant certifications are a strong advantage.
-Proven academic excellence with strong analytical and communication capabilities.
-2–5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Venture Capital (VC) or Corporate Venture Capital (CVC)
Startup fundraising or investor relations
Investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance roles
Startup accelerators or incubator programs
-Direct involvement in at least one successful fundraising round (e.g., Seed, Series A).
-Demonstrated expertise in developing investor-facing materials, including pitch decks, memos, and fundraising collateral.
-Strong financial acumen, with confidence in discussing and analyzing cap tables, valuations, term sheets, and key growth metrics.
-Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches both in person and virtually.
-Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Shortlisting Criteria:
Prior fundraising experience
Strong financial literacy and understanding of startup finance
Proven ability in crafting investor-ready pitch materials
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:
Track record of success in leading or supporting a completed fundraising round
Experience working directly with VCs, CVCs, or financial institutions on investment deals
