Buyer Executive | F&B Trading Leader | KL Full Time
Company overview
Our client is a Food & Beverage Trading Group, one of the largest food importer and distributor in the region with operations in Southeast Asia. Due to exciting plans to expand their business, they are seeking for seasoned Buyer Executives to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur.
The new role
· As the face of our business to customers and salespeople, you will be working with our customers’ leadership teams to help them secure the best possible outcomes for all of their purchases.
· Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends.
· Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices.
· Seek and partner with reliable vendors.
· Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves based on analysis of the historical trends and future forecast.
· Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal & Identifying buying opportunities.
· Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase.

Requirements to succeed
• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in the related field.
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in a retail background, preferably modern trade and FMCG background.
• High command of spoken and written English & proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
• Have strong planning and negotiation skills in addition to good interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask and operate in fast paced and result oriented environment.
