Senior Finance Analyst | Engineering | Petaling Jaya Full Time

Company overview

Our client is an established engineering MNC that is a strong player in its industry. In line with their business expansion, they are looking to bring on board a GL professional to join their team in Kuala Lumpur.

The new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for month-end/ quarter end/ year end GL close activities, tax and other relevant tasks of entity’s result. You will also prepare reporting, analytical review of financial reports and provide support and service requests from Operating Companies. You will also collaborate with other functions, including AR & AP and stakeholders to ensure smooth month-end close. You will maintain general ledger data integrity via balance sheet reconciliation, identify issue, unreconciled and aged items and record fixed asset transactions in accounting system. You will also be in charge of reconciliation and analysis of intercompany accounts and liaise with auditors. You will also have opportunities to be involve in ad hoc projects and system migration, as well as international exposure such as Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Being part of the transformation team will be included in your job scope as well.

Requirements to succeed

You possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably Professional Qualification. You will have 5 to 7 years of working experience in accounting environment within shared services organization, handling GL processes. Implementation & Integration experience will be added advantage. Full set account knowledge is preferable. Experienced in SAP system is a must. Ideally, you should be detailed oriented, accurate, good team player, proactive and fast-learning person.
