Service Technician | MNC Machinery Engineering | Petaling Jaya Full Time

Company overview

The hiring company is a leading US MNC organization focused on heavy machinery engineering that is a strong player within its industry and has a strong presence predominantly in the Asia Pacific. With the continued push in their strategy, they are looking for a Service Technician to complement the high performing team in Petaling Jaya.

The new role

Reporting to the Manager, you will be managing all installation, maintenance, repairs and testing tasks at site involving complete assembly, semi-compete assembly and all other heavy machinery related work. Assisting other technicians, you are to ensure duties are in line with company policies, procedures and work instructions or inform supervisor of any issues a timely manner. You will also inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues. On the role, you are required to maintain regular contact with site representative, machinery manager as well as team members.

Requirements to succeed

The successful candidate must hold at least a Certificate, Polytechnic or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with 3-5 years’ experience in manual handling of heavy machinery. Basic knowledge and understanding in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic system servicing, repair and troubleshooting and having a good command of English is a must. Ideally, you should be proactive and reliable with the ability to travel.
